Judicial Affairs & Screening

Collaborates with the Travis County judiciary to resolve matters of interest to the local bench and bar. Activities include periodic needs assessments for the courthouse, updates to the Travis County Bench Book, and conducting the Judicial Evaluation and Preference Polls.

Plans preliminary work on securing a new civil courthouse for Travis County.

Settlement Week
Chair: Jason Snell
Twice each year, the Austin Bar Association assists with organizing Settlement Week whereby parties to lawsuits can have their cases mediated free of charge by trained mediators.
