New Austin Bar Board Takes Office 

AUSTIN, TX - The 2007-08 Austin Bar Association Board of Directors began its one-year term July 1, 2007. The Austin Bar Board includes the following:

Secretary: Ann Greenberg, Walsh, Anderson, Brown, Schulze & Aldridge
Treasurer: David Whittlesey, Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld
Immediate Past President: Steve Benesh, Bracewell & Giuliani

In addition, the Austin Bar Board consists of the Austin Young Lawyers Association President and President-Elect, as well as 22 section chairs and several local bar association representatives. Due to a change in the Austin Bar's bylaws, this marks the first year that the board will also include a paralegal, legal administrator, and Austin Lawyers Auxiliary representative.

The Austin Bar Association, a nonprofit, voluntary association operated for charitable and educational purposes, represents approximately 3,800 attorneys in the Austin area.
