Experience Austin Like Never Before with Leadership Austin
Leadership Austin's popular Experience Austin program will be offered for a third session,
beginning March 23. Experience Austin allows participants to delve deeper into Austin's
issues and opportunities, icons and institutions. This fast-paced orientation series introduces both
new residents and long time Austinites to the latest issues and key players in this "city of ideas."
- Meet the movers and shakers in the business and civic community and form connections that will
impact you personally and professionally.
- Go "behind the scenes" to hear from decision makers on topics such as Austin's growth and changing
demographics, the achievement gap in Texas education, and economic development and the high-tech sector.
- Join this exclusive group (limited to 22) for unprecedented access to the latest information about
Austin's key issues from community, business and arts leaders.
Individuals and employers find that Experience Austin is an unprecedented way to increase visibility,
foster high value contacts, and create community context.
Through the Experience Austin program I was introduced to community leaders I had not met before and
rekindled some existing relationships. Had it not been for this program, I would not have made some
very important connections or understood the impact of certain issues in the Austin community. It's a
great place to meet others who have a passion for making a difference.
--Nikki Salzillo, Bank of America
Last year, our law firm enrolled all of the attorneys who were new to our Austin office in the
Experience Austin program. We wanted to familiarize them with important issues and challenges in
Central Texas and to get to know people in the community, including the slate of "mover & shaker"
speakers and attendees in the program. I would recommend Experience Austin to any business that
hopes for their new employees to hit the ground running and make an impact here.
--Steve Benesh, Managing Partner, Bracewell and Giuliani
Dates: Friday, March 23, 8:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m; and Tuesdays, March 27, April 3, and April 10,
4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Series Cost: $685 (Price includes course materials, meals, and tour)
